Day 2: Grafton Lake Trail – Kejimkujik National Park
Grafton Lake is a stunning trail that has a brook and a lake along the trail. The trail only being 0.4 KM, makes it an easy trail that anyone can handle. The trail starts in a parking lot. You follow a short trail with trees. After a short walk, you hear the sounds of the running water of Grafton Brook. read more
Day 2: Grafton Woods Trail – Kejimkujik National Park
Grafton Woods was the second trail I explored after Grafton Lake. You start from the parking lot and walk up a hill. The trail splits into two directions. I decided to continue walking straight instead of turning left. There was this one path where you had to walk between trees with very low branches. read more
Day 2: Gold Mines Trail – Kejimkujik National Park
Gold Mines is an interesting trail that tells the story of people mining for gold here long before it became a national park. The trail also has artifacts so you can see what equipment they used. The above photo is the sign you see at the start of the trail. The story of Jim McGuire finding gold is very interesting. He was a person that got into debt, and had to hide out because the sheriff was after him. One day in 1884, he drank from a stream and noticed a shiny pebble of gold. read more
Day 2: Rogers Brook Trail – Kejimkujik National Park
Rogers Brook is a beautiful trail with lots of water and greenery. After doing a very short walk from the start of the trail, you will see the brook with a wooden bridge, letting you know there is even more to see on this fabulous trail. read more
